Poonamallee - Vadapalani Metro rail corridor was inaugurated today. Prime Minister Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay launched the project. Officials stated that, in the initial phase, the Metro train will stop at 11 stations along the new route. Fare details for the service have now been released; the fare for the journey from Poonamallee to Vadapalani has been fixed at ₹40.
