A woman traveling in an AC 3-tier coach—who had been allotted a middle berth—wished to switch to a lower berth. However, the passenger occupying the lower berth set a condition: they would only give up their seat if the woman paid them 50% of the fare they had originally paid. Unable to afford this, the woman ended up sleeping on the middle berth, teary-eyed.
