<p style="text-align: justify;">कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने दिल्ली के रामलीला मैदान में इंडिया गठबंधन की महारैली में शिव बारात और शिव तांडव को लेकर बयान दिया था. इस पर बीजेपी नेता संबित पात्रा ने प्रतिक्रिया दी है. उन्होंने काशी में कहा कि शिव बारात और शिव तांडव में लोगों को अंतर मालूम नहीं है और राजनीति करते हैं.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">संबित पात्रा ने कहा कि काशी आना मेरे लिए गर्व की बात है. यह कोई साधारण जगह नहीं है. यह महादेव की भूमि है, काशी की भूमि है, जहां कण-कण में भगवान शिव बसते हैं. सबसे पहले मैं इस पवित्र भूमि को नमन करता हूं. आज काशी की इस धरती से मैं आपको SIR प्रक्रिया के बारे में बताना चाहता हूं. साथ ही, जो सवाल उठाए गए हैं और हम पर जो आरोप लगे हैं, उनका जवाब भी देना चाहता हूं.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">संबित पात्रा बोले भारत एक लोकतांत्रिक देश है. लोकतंत्र में इलेक्टोरल रोल से तय होता है कि कौन वोट देने के योग्य है. यानी भारत में कौन मतदाता है और कौन नहीं. समय-समय पर सूची से नाम हटाने या नए नाम जोड़ने की जरूरत पड़ती है. मतदाता सूची की शुद्धता, सटीकता और उसे दुरुस्त रखने के लिए ही SIR प्रक्रिया चलाई जाती है.</p>
