The Central Government has relaxed passport and visa regulations for certain foreign nationals residing in India, including specific groups of Pakistanis, minority refugees, Sri Lankan Tamils, and Tibetans. The rules have also been relaxed for individuals of Indian origin who acquired citizenship of Malaysia or Singapore and arrived in India before December 31, 2009.
