Manjit Singh Patel, National President of the All India NPS Employees Association, has stated that if the 'fitment factor' is raised to 2.57 under the 8th Pay Commission, the monthly salaries of government employees in Grades 6 to 8 could rise to as much as ₹1.22 lakh.
